A few good words

I went into work today on my 16th day in a row to find a set of thank you cards for employees to send to each other. I wanted to share what was written to me.......

Carrie,
Sending you this "thank you" just to let you know we appreciate the contribution you make to our store. You always have a positive attitude when you come in and that alone is irreplacable. But if that wasn't enough, you have really stepped up to the plate the last few weeks since D has been gone. We appreciate you taking on, not only a keyholder position, but also picking up some extra hours to help fill the need. You are an awesome asset to our awesome team! Keep up the good work :)

Then I got a text message from my boss saying how much of a pleasure it has been working with me this week as we blew our goals out of the water. And then she sent another one saying that she didn't care in God himself called to see if i could come into work, don't answer the phone. LOL.

I am going to go to bed, read my book and have a great rest for tomorrow. I haven't been able to get up and go to the gym lately because of the long hours so I am going tomorrow.

P.S. Phil wrote a blog entry about an article that was written about women who are cast asside in society if they do not have children. I want to write on the subject but can't quite get my mind around my emotions about it. Will let you know when i do.
