Thanksgiving weekend

So I received a call from my sister on monday evening when she told me that she was having a really hard time this holiday. We hadn't planned to spend time together this thanksgiving and I was going to work through the weekend but when I knew my sister needed me I turned into Super Carrie and needed to travel to be with her.

So.........I called my friend J and she said that she would drive me across the state so that i could be with my sister. I cancelled work schedules and headed out. I know this was a bad financial decision but she needed me so i was going to be there.

I couldn't have made this weekend work without J and she really swooped to the rescue. We drove up on sat morning and will be staying till monday. It was really nice to have the weekend away also and to see my sister.

Recently I have realized that my sister is my "PERSON." She is the one person that i would call when the shit all came down. We have always been there for each other and it is great to have her around.
She made a HUGE turkey dinner which tasted delicious and we all ate with pride. We drank all night and played lots of fun games and went to bed. Today we went shopping at IKEA and got some killer deals. I bought christmas presents for three people plus a few bits and bobs for me for a whole $40. It was the best. We are relaxing this evening and then will be hitting the road about ten tomorrow morning.

So next week will be a busy one but i am excited to print the pics and put them in my scrap book. I have have finished lots of pages and really enjoy it.
